Hey guys! Ida hit us pretty hard where I live and I was forced to drive my car though about 2 feet of flood water. I made it through without stalling however the next morning my car sounded awful when I started it. My parking lot had a little less than a foot of standing water in it...the sound starts right when my car turns over and is a loud buzzing noise. It sounds the same as a bad power steering pump but isn't affected when I turn the wheel. It does get higher pitched the higher the rpms go. Anyone know what might be the problem? Besides the noise the car is driving just fine :confused:

The last few days, the power steering pump seems to make a lot of nose. it only happens on cold mornings. Noise increases when you turn the wheels from lock to lock. Once the engine revs up, the noise goes way. It doesn't make the noise duirng the rest of the day.

All Data says it takes 1.3 hours. Steps says to just remove the rear intake manifold brace and you can removed the starter bolts and remove the starter. But with the intake manifold in the way and it looks like it cannot be removed from the bottom.. How do you remove the starter??? Thanks, Victor:D:D

i have a 99 cl 3.0, and it has been giving me issues with the a/c the last couple of days. The a/c blower will turn on but the compressor will not kick in. the a/c panel is digital, so if i click on auto it's a hit or miss, sometimes the compressor will kick in and sometimes it doesn't. The same when i do the manual settings. however, when i turn the system off, the blower still continues to blow, something that has never happen until now. 95% of the time it happens to my wife, could the car be allergic to her ;). and it's always hot here in miami so a/c is a must.

Hi. I have a 1998 acura 2.3 cl with about 65,000 miles. I have run into a problem today while driving on the highway. It seems as if the speedometer ticker suddenly drops and then picks right back up. For instance, it was at 65 then dropped to 40 briefly (about 0.5 seconds) and then ramped back up to 65. There was no change in the running of the vehicle. However, it occurred approximately 3 times in a 45 minute span. On one occasion while softly braking, the speedometer similarly dropped dramatically. There are no other symptoms other than the radio briefly stopping (maybe a bad station connection?). Please advise.

Hey the wife will need tires later. Which tire Dunlop or Toyo Proxe 4 would be better which also will be driven if it happens to snow. Michelins are just too dam expensive & not worth the money.

Hello, I have owned an 04 TL w/navi since new, and I have a bit of a Catch 22 thing going with the HFL. Over the years, my wife and I have owned and paired several phones to the car. Over the weekend, I ran the pairing routine for a new phone, and the HFL responded that all six bluetooth slots are full, would I like to delete any phones. I deleted five phones, one at a time, then had it list all phones. The only phone it names is my wife's phone. So far, so good. Unfortunately, any and all subsequent reattempts to pair the new phone continue to receive the "six phones are currently paired" response. If I tell it to list again, it only names the one phone.

I called the dealer for advice; they have no ideas but want $100, minimum, (and I quote) "Because this is an extremely complex and time consuming process." I thanked him and ended the call with a shrug, because I can do a 30 minute battery disconnect for free; I was just hoping to avoid reentering the radio codes and stations. For $100, I'll start writing the stations down and punching buttons, unless someone has experience with this and can hopefully offer an alternative.

I hope I am not repeating a prior issue. If so, I apologize, I did run a search prior to posting. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

I have a 98 CL3.0 automatic tranny going out.. I see many 99-2003 tl 3.2 automatic trannys available..

if anyone can confirm will it fit in my 98 cl..

During a recent heavy rain, it appeared that water was leaking into the interior of the car over the front driver side. I checked the seals around the door, but they were fine. Then I sprayed water on the moonroof, and that appears to be where the leak is coming from. Those seals also look okay, though I see some water pooling into the perimeter. The front two drainage holes look like they work (dumped water on them and dripped out near front tire wells). However, one of the rear ones might be clogged, as one side it drains out the rear tire well, but the the other side is dripping out the driver side rear seat area (dunno if it shifted). So I'm guessing that's it's overflowing the lip (or the hose got disconnected somehow), and dripping into the interior.

The problem is that the moonroof is blocking my ability to see the rear drainage holes. If it's slid open, it's completely blocking the area, and if popped open, it's not high enough for me to get a clear view. Anyone have any ideas/schematics on how I can get access to it to see if it's clogged?

Forgot to mention, it's Acura 3.2 TL 2003 model.

i have an '05 acura TL i want to put in the switch back lights and halo rings. i also need to get rid of the amber blinkers. is that something you can purchase or is it a DIY project? i really want to just purchase the head lights all set to go. anybody know of a website where i might find this?

I replaced the front brake pads on my 97 2.2 cl. Have done this job a couple of times and never had any issues.

This time, the brake pedal is very long. Goes about 3/4 of the way down before the car begins to stop. If you pump the pedal, it comes up. That would tell me I have air in the system.

I used the pressure bleeder and ran a good pint of fluid thru each front caliper. No air bubbles came out. Pedal is still long.

The car has ABS, does this require any special procedure for bleeding the front calipers?
