About 6 months ago the driver's side power window quit working on my 1998 Integra LS. The passenger side and sunroof still work just fine, although they are pretty sluggish.

I recently had some work done at a shop and had them do some diagnostics on the window. They told me that I need to replace the Power Window Master Switch along with the motor for the driver's side window. They quoted me at $850!! This is a mechanic I've used for years and who has never unfairly charged me for work.

I called around to some other shops and they were all quoting me around the same price ($700-$900).

Why would I need to replace the Master Switch if two out of the three power windows are working just fine? Also, is $700-$900 for parts and labor to replace this sound accurate?

Provocative four-door sports coupe goes on-sale December 15

TORRANCE, Calif. - Nov 20 — The all-new 2010 ZDX four-door sports coupe is set to go on-sale at Acura dealerships on December 15 with a manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $45,495, plus a destination and handling charge* of $810, Acura announced today.

Designed, developed and manufactured in North America, the ZDX has already generated a tremendous amount of excitement since its world debut at the New York Auto Show in April, thanks to its stunning coupe-like styling combined with flexible utility, a commanding presence and outstanding performance.

The ZDX will be available in three trim packages, the well-equipped ZDX; ZDX with Technology Package; and the ZDX with Advance Package. Highlights of standard features on the ZDX include the world's longest panoramic glass roof, concealed rear door handles, and a hand-stitched leather dash, center console and door panels. Powering every ZDX is a 3.7-liter VTEC® V-6 that generates 300 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque while achieving a class-leading EPA-rated city/highway fuel economy of 16/23 mpg**. Standard on every ZDX is Acura's exclusive Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) system that provides outstanding handling as well as excellent all-season capability.

1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - The Underdogs (As Usual)

We reflect on what went well and what didn't with our entry in the Castrol Syntec Top Car Challenge.When a casting call went out earlier this year in search of the perfect car to represent Honda Tuning magazine, a major decision had to be made. We could find the highest-dollar, most hardcore force-fed monster to compete against the other magazines, or we could choose a car more in touch with our readers. Now don't get me wrong, we love well-built powerhouses with high dollar one-of-a-kind mods just as much as the next guy. But the reality is most of us don't have the money to buy even half of what those cars run around with. With Loi's Song's Sportcar Motion-built Civic, you have mostly off-the-shelf parts, with a motor combo that a large number of Honda fans can build themselves. Unlike many shops, they don't keep any secrets; they'll tell you exactly what they're running, why they think it works well, and how to get your hands on it. The K-series motor is now a staple of the Honda community, and we wanted to see what it could do against high-level competition. When we featured the white hatchback (Aug issue), it was sporting a shiny new Kraftwerks Rotrex supercharger, making over 400whp. During initial track testing, cooling and efficiency became a serious problem. The solution would be a custom intercooler and radiator setup, but, with so little time before the competition, the Sportcar crew decided to drop the forced induction altogether. This of course made a major impact on power output but insured that the car would run cool even with desert track temperatures. Now if you're slapping your forehead wondering why we'd enter a competition with a severe disadvantage right from the start, we understand completely. But think of it this way: with the Sportcar Motion Civic running naturally, it truly is representative of the majority of K-swap owners that track their cars. Here's a breakdown of some of the categories along with ways we could have improved our overall standing. So they just opened a coupld In N' Out Burger joints here in Utah. I have never been to one in my entire life (being from the East Coast) and want to know if it's worth the hype.

Lines were over an hour long today and some assholes camped out to get the first burger.

Just wondering if it's worth checking out once the hype dies down.
