stick it in a 4th gen civic , leave on your steelies n get some nice tires n don't do any body mods. i know a guy who did that n it pisses people off when he whoops there a**.

Most people swap the H22 into either other preludes or accords. If you wanna get a little more crazy you can put it into a 4th or 5th gen civic. I tell you what If you want to be different you can try attempting a swap into a 90-93 integra I havent seen one of those with a H22.

I've got a 5G Civic coupe with a JDM H22A and the motor fits quite well and the car hauls ars!!! I think the 5G Civic or the 94+ Integra would be your best bet. I would stay away from the 4G civic though only because of OBD differences. Hasport should make OBD conversion harness though if you are hell-bent on putting it in the 4G civic. I'm still pretty much stock and gave a Porshe Boxter S a run for his money just yesterday. He was on it pretty hard and I kept right with him then I dropped it in third and zipped past him with the quickness. I don't know if he was trying to keep up but he was moving like he was trying but he never did pass me, rather he caught my drag and just cruised behind me. Now grant it, it was only a boxter s and not a carrera or anything but it still made me feel good to know that I built mine with my own two hands for under $5K and he spent considerably more on his mid-life crisis mobile

the easiest besides back in a lude would be a 4th or 5th gen 5 speed accord(as long as its 92 or newer). but it wouldnt be the fastest!

yeah, 4th or 5th gen accords probably would be the easiest, but i say go with a 5g civic and just tear up the streets.

put it back together, sell it, buy a b20z, and use the rest of the money to build it.

Now I have been considering doing an engine swap on my 98 Civic. Is it that much of a hassle. Does it pretty much fit in place or do i have some modifications to fix. H22avid...you were saying there was a problem with the OBD...explain that to me if ya can on what I owuld have to do with that. I figured...instead of spending money on a turbo...get an engine that pushes as much power as my engine prolly would WITH a turbo :-\ Thanks for any replies..

That was for the 4G civic (pre 1992) which is ODB. With yours it is a 6G and you would basically revert from OBDII to OBDI shich is pretty simple from what I've heard. You would need the OBDI motor and ecu and a OBDII to OBDI conversion harness from hasport unless you just get an OBDII H22 which are harder to come by.

we put one in my 96 accord, its by far the easiest install.. its just simple lengthen wires, replace ONE mount and drop it.. even trannys out of the accord or prelude fit

I would go with the prelude tranny though, the accords gears are long as shit

for the 90-93 swap there are no custome mounts needed you use all accord mounts and brackets.

I thought you needed to shave the Prelude driver side mount to make it fit, but you use only the Accord mounts?

Thatis only on the 94-97 swaps

Then what about the 90-93? You just use the Accord mounts? I have a 92 EX and am curious about the possibilities...
