I bought a JDM EJ22T for ASAP motors out of Houston Texas on 1/5/06. The motor isn't on it's way, I keep getting hung up on when I call them.

Looks like they're registered on rip-offs.com and they've had past customers file complaints at the BBB.... stupid me, I should've researched them first.

I bought my 1991 b16a in 2001 from Metric Motors. I actually bought it through Landspeed racing. The valve cover looked rough, but the engine runs strong. One week after the install, which is in a 1991 civic hatch, it ran a 14.7 @ 94 mph. The engine came with cable tranny (non LSD), and a Zdyne ECU. The civic had everything stripped out of it. Including the sound deadening tar on the floor. One seat and a dashboard. The car had a powercore header, homemade intake, and stock exhaust, which blew that night. Everything shipped was 1300.00. The car had 1 1/2 years off since then, but runs the same. I would recommend them anyday.

I figured I should edit this post, because I can't find landspeed racing on the web anymore. In that year and a half off, things have changed.

I went to Nippon-Motors.com. Some guy named Robert helped me out with selecting my front clip. They have a lot of front clips in very good condition. I was able to get a lot of parts off of my front clip. I was even thinking of converting my civic right hand drive but too much work. The fenders were in good condition. I also got a japanese license plate, japanese coins (under the carpet), LSD tranny, etc. Robert turned on the engine on a couple of front clips with fluid starter. I recommend them big time.

I bought my 96 h22a1 from www.motorworks.com of ny... i ordered it and it came in practically mint condition..a little expensive..i paid roughly $2,400. Motor has under 45,000 miles on it. If i had to buy again i would use them. i'm having www.trickengineering.com of nh drop the motor in.Should be complete in just a few weeks. Motor is going into a 92 civic hatch.

I got mine form Jazz Pro Parts.com an Ls long block. The motor was super clean no damage all sensors none broken. Even came with the starter and all the Trans bolts and driver side motor mount. That is all that was good about this experience. Their web site said includes distributor but there was no distributor. I’ve been fighting with them for 10 weeks now to get what is owed to me and it still hasn’t happened. They keep pointing fingers at one another and no one is taking action to get me a distributor. So yesterday I reported them to the Better Business Buru.

Sir-G is the japanese equivalent to the GSR, i believe. And 1800 is for the longblock only. I've bought 2 h22a's, one b18b, and one ZC longblock from hmotorsonline.com. Never had a problem with any of them. Always clean, always ran good on startup. Good customer service as well.

this place sux

I am not usually one to dis people, however, this has to be said.
Originally I wanted to put a zc into my rex. The guy at WCP (you know who you are), said no problem. For $750, it seemed pretty good. After almost 6 months and no engine I was getting pissed off So I called and he said it was port security that was holding up the engine. O.K.
I informed him that it had to be a black top to fit, he said it would take longer to get because they were "rare". First off he didn't know what would work? Second, he couldn't tell me how long it would take?
I told him I wanted to cancel the order. He then informed me it would cost me a 20% restock fee. I asked myself for what?
Eventually he informed me he could get me a jdm 1st generation b16 for just a bit more. O.K. It was the engine I really wanted anyway. He didn't tell me the other stuff usually included in an engine swap package, would be a lot more.
After another long stretch, the b16 finally came to my friends shop. I was going to rebuild it before I installed it. Tore it apart, and it was filled with water.
After the rebuild it is now a good looking engine.
I had to get motor mounts, shift linkage, and the VTEC wiring from Hasport. Those guys are knowledgeable and helpful.
Long story, short. Don't buy from WCP. Look 'em up on the web, be forewarned.
