making a B18C5 california BAR legal

I have a 1994 Honda civic, and i am swapping in a 2001 Acura Integra Type-R engine B18C5. I was wondering if anyone has gone through all the steps to make this california SMOG legal, and if anyone knows a list of parts i will be required to buy in order to get the BAR sticker?
Any help is much appreciated!

congrats for trying to do things the legitimate way. i believe you need EVERYTHING emissions related connected and running. so that included the evap canisters and the fuel tank stuff as well. i dont have a list, but basically u'll need to have everything that 01 type R had connected to it.

shoot i forgot. before u take the plunge, the swap laws were changed in CA earlier this year. if i'm not mistaken, I think they outlawed Integra motors in civics now, since they were never an option for your chassis here in the US. I think you'd be able to do a B16 from a del sol though.

the BAR got pretty smart with all the loopholes and violations and upped their games.

Oh no, that is aweful news. =(
i am guessing for a k20 swap, it has to only be from a civic? i wonder if you are able to make a JDM k20 ca BAR legal?

i believe the cars have to be in the same generation now too. i'll do some research to double check, since you bring up a good point.

k20's have a returnless fuel system, so you have to swap a k20 based fuel tank and all that other fun stuff connected to it making it a super pain in the behind. its been done, but it isnt cheap.

with a b-series, a lot of the stuff is already on your car, which i failed to mention in my first post. sorry i dont have the comprehensive list.

I have an appointment to speak with a Refferee, which i am nervous about attending since my tags have been expired for a few months. I may drive another car there and just ask him what i can and cannot do. Would hate for them to "enforce some laws" on me, if they even have that power, i am not sure. I will let you know what i find out. I would hate to have spent $$$$ on this whole swap and then be informed that i have no way of making it legalized! Jeez! I do not even know what i will do at that point if that does occur.
