    trying to jumpstart.. sets off alarm

    hi all. forgive me if this is an easy question. i was trying to jump start a friends accord today and as soon as you hook up the cables, the factory panic alarm goes off. this happens with keys in or out as soon as the cables get attached. its a 97 accord.

    is there a way to get this to turn off so we can jump start her car? thanks in advance!

    lock the car with the hood open, then hook the battery booster up, then unlock the car and start it.

    The old man had a very simple comment on this;
    "If you are faster than I am; you are crazy and tired of life. If you are slower; you are a loser."
    I guess I was a little bit tired that night.
