Default Just put my new clutch and flywheel in...

Long story short, I bought a stage 2 eClutchmaster clutch and also an 8 1/2 lb aluminum flywheel...I recieved a 6 puck sprung clutch and the flywheel I ordered. Now I'm not complaining by NO means but I finally put it in today and MAN! This bish is stiff! I love the flywheel, it appears to help out a lot but the clutch is taking some getting used to... I had a 94 CX hb w/ a mild LS and a 65 shot, w/ a CM stage 3. Now, THAT clutch felt great, is it because it's a cable tranny and hydro tranny clutch slaves build THAT much MORE pressure. I'm actually going down to 13" wheels tomorrow so that I can save my 18" for some shows, but this clutch concerns me...my Q is do any of you have problems braking axles? Should my clutch be this hard to press soley because it's a cable clutch?

CM clutches are designed to have low pedal pressure...eClutchmaster is probably using a design that doesnt reduce pedal pressure as much.

eClutchmaster is a brand off of EBAY. I have never heard of them but I did get a good deal on it. When I was putting it in a freind told me it looks exactly like an ACT 6 puck w/ the extreme pressure plate. It's just taking some getting used to. I usually rev matched my downshifts before but now I HAVE to or else the car lets you know your doing something wrong

oic, its the ghetto CM, hehe j/k. Yah the I drove my friends lude the other day with a 6 puck. I know what you mean about that clutch, its more like an on/off thing, your either going or your not, you can't really slip it that much.

I used to break axles all of the time, oh and by the way if that is a true 6 puck, be prepared to replace your tranny. 6 pucks, although yours is sprung so not as bad as an unsprung 6 puck, but anyway pucked clutches (4 or 6) are race clutches, they engage very hard, and are VERY hard on Honda's very delicate mainshafts.

That doesn't make me feel good. I like the clutch and have gotten more used to it. If this tranny goes then I will have to find a way to rebuild it to make it stronger, BTW I drove a 02 Si yesterday and almost couldn't take off, I kept overcompensating for the spring and chocked down, My friend asked if I could drive a 5 speed, I was like yeah, I'm used to faster cars I thought it was a good come back.
