h22a swap into eg shift linkage

Default h22a swap into eg shift linkage

ive been researching h22a swaps and it seems like u have to do some modding to get the shift linkage to line up or something. could someone explain this?

There is no linkage on an H22A. You have to adapt a 90+ Accord or 92+ Prelude cable shifter assembly into your car.

hmmm... so what would i need to do in order to do that? also would you happen to know any sites that give info/intallation tips? thanks a lot

Well, ideally you need a complete shifter assembly and cables, along with a welder to attach it. The H22A swap isn't a simple one.

If you can get a hold of it Sport Compact Car did a complete writeup about the h22 into a civic and what you need to do the swap. granted it was like 4 years ago and some of the stuff they used is dated but it is the september '01 issue. Also if you can't find the info on this site www.hondaswap.com has a forum dedicated to Eg swaps and there should be more than enough info to get you going on there.
