Can someone link or explain the difference between Open and Closed deck engines. Also what are the advantages and disadvantages?

closed deck

pros: increased stability at high rpm's
cons: may cause cooling issues

open deck

pros: better cooling than closed deck
cons: sleeves can move and shift at high rpm's unless braced

the differences are pretty obvious

Not only high rpm's, but under high boost levels and cylinder pressures as well.
