Default B16 swap?

Can I get a complete b16a2 swap (99-00 Si) into my 98 EX coupe automatic for about 1200.00 including engine, tranny, labor, and shipping? What tranny would I need? If I couldn't do that swap, could I do a b18? LS engine? Thanks.

complete swap for $1200? you're dreaming. you'd have to convert to manual which is $$ right there because swap + auto =

i know someone in tampa that can get you a b20 for about 700 bucks....and an EX manual trannny for about 100-200 bucks...estimated cost around 900-1000 bucks...if u do all the labor yourself you wont have to spend so much on labor...labor is whats going to kill you thats what people dont understand because u can get stuff relatively cheap but then labor will eat you alive

I wanna keep it auto! I have a stock ex auto tranny and if that can't handle the power, would I need an integra tranny???

^^...What good is a b20 engine and a d16 ex tranny going to do????? They dont work together.

If you want to keep it auto, you would need an auto tranny from an integra ls or a jdm b16 (good luck finding the latter).

Youre not even going to be able to buy a 99-00 b16a for $1200, let alone all the rest of it. Tack on at least another 2grand and call it a maybe.

All Bseries trannies will work with any bseries engines. (minus b20a)

You could put any bseries (minus b20a) into your chassis easily, w/ little modification. So yes, you could put a b18b in there.

im sure that $700 is for the long block. you'd still need a tranny, intake manifold, etc. to get it running. an ex tranny will not fit a b20.

keeping it auto will severely limit your swap choices. there are auto b16's but they're one in a million.

considering from his other thread (not looking for much speed) why not just go the easy way out with a mini-me swap...cheap,easy and u can keep your tranny......and one of the better trannys..for manuals are the ex/si trannys because if u drop your tranny its easy/cheap to trade out with another one. i know a lot of people that use ex/si trannys in b series motors along with stage 2 and 3 clutches and they tear up just about anything out there...not to mention even the new kseries swap calls for the ex tranny because of the gear ratios and the reliability

where the hell are you getting your info from? ex/si tranny's will not fit any b series or any k series. :eh:

the b20 never came with vtec. so if he's saying its vtec, its a crvtec which done right makes nice numbers. done wrong, will be bitch to deal with. but for $700 i highly doubt it was done right.
