Default How do you install EK9 Power folding mirrors?

I'm new here, so i apologize if this subject's been talked about all to hell.

I have a set of EK9 mirrors with the power folding option that i want to install in my 99 civic coupe. I have:

mirrors
jdm switch
oem relay box
jdm harnesses to plug into mirrors

I tried hooking it all up, but i can't seem to match the proper correlating wires to the jdm switch--they're all different colors.

I also tried using a guide i found online, but it was for a 92-95 model. my main question is: How do i know what oem wires to hook up to the jdm wires on the jdm switch?

i tried just seeing if the power option worked by hooking up the relay to the switch and then running temporary wire to each of the mirrors... but nothing happened. can someone give me a diagram of this process?

and also, what's up with the passenger side mirror on my usdm civic? there're 5 wires--where do the orange/white and black ones come from? there's also a black/blue wire on the OEM switch that isn't run to either mirror--what's that one do?

any help would be much appreciated

well, since no one's helped me but some of you have looked... i guess you're running into similar problems.

anyway, i pseudo-successfully installed the mirrors using this website's diagram (at the bottom of the page) http://www.geocities.com/dwnlow91/JDMmirror.html

i know it's for an integra, but hell it worked on my 99 civic. just ignore the wire coloring, just use logic to decide what wire goes where.

oh, the only problem i had was that the passenger side mirror does not adjust up/down; only side to side. i just said screw it, and manually adjusted the mirror and use the adjuster to move the mirror side to side.

"it's good enough" - my family motto.

www.passwordjdm.com carries jdm power-folding mirrors.

jdm switch sold seperatly

if you want knock-off JDM mirrors that power-adjust, but don't power-fold, go to www.tornactive.com
