Hey I have an 88 Legend and I need to know how to take the whole door off to replace it, because I don't know how. I have the panel off already and I just need to take the door off. so please help.

look. check where the bolts are that hold the door onto the body. loosen them and disconnect the wiring from the door then take them out completely. put the other door on lining it up so all the gaps aroung the door are even(equal) you can use a piece of plastic the righr thickness. check the gap on the other door. you will of course have to put all the guts from the other door into that after you have it bolted on. then check your gap as th weight will pull the door down a little. try that and see how you get on. will be back on tomorrow.

most door panels on any cars are put on by a simple bolt and clips.
locate if there are any bolts, if not,
slip a butter knife wraped in paper[so it doesn't demage or scratch anything] in between the panel and the door.

good luck

ye that is right. i you want you can put your fingers at the bottom of the trim on the door and just give it a tug outwards. the plastic clips should just pop out. then you lift the panel upwards to slip it off the door

Pull the rubber wire cover back, unplug the wires at the door (rather than at the frame) then just remove the hinge pins. The new door should line up the same.
