Honda Newbie...Brake Light Problems

I am having some serious trouble with my little 1990 Honda Accord. The electrical seems to go haywire sometimes but as of now I think I've fixed all except for the digital clock (which flickers off and on at it's own will, and also stays in day mode with the headlamps turned on) and more importantly than the clock is my brake lights. All of the sudden they won't come on anymore and I have already tried the brake switch. Any other suggestions? Thanks for any and all help!

Could it be a bad ground somewhere?

When my friend's alternator went bad his electrical went crazy too. Speedometer not working, etc.

Maybe take it to a shop to get it tested. I think some may do it for free. Not an expert but something you can try.

Now that you say that.....I had to replace the alternator about 2 months ago. IF anyone else can help it would be great. If not I will have to take it to a Honda Tech. Thanks

if you take it to a shop make sure you take a look at the work order and only pay for however long they have charged you to diagonose the problem.

Last time I went they quoted me 45 minutes, took 1.5 hours, and I paid double just for them inspecting my vehicle.
