ABS light wont go off ...

i have 93 accord. so my battery died, i ahd it jump started and after that the ABS light comes on and wont leave. lol . how do i clear it? thanks

Well I don't know if this will help, but I got my 96' Integra broken into recently and they completely screwed up my steering column. After the wiring and everything was fixed, the ABS light was still lit. So I asked my mechanic if he could make it go away. He stuck his hand under the dash, and pressed some sort of reset button and the light went away. You might just need to get it reset somehow. I don't know if this helped somehow, but its just an idea.

I would suggest you to disconnect the main fuse( which you can find in the fuse box under the hood) for 5 minutes, then reconnect.Hope it'll help

Probably similar to my '95 Integra... ABS has it's own little fusebox, & you pull fuse 1B or something...

But if you haven't fixed the problem, the lamp will just set itself right back on. Jumper your service connector like you're reading ECU errors. Watch the ABS light blink:
long flash & long pause - this isn't the code yet.
short flashes = first digit of code
1-second pause
short flashes = 2nd digit of code
long pause
next code, or the same code keeps repeating...

tried taking the battery negative off for 15 min and pullin abs fuses.
still comes on

If you disconnected the battery cable and the abs fuse and it still comes back on then there is a problem with the system, 90-97 accords have had a lot of problems with the abs system. Some of the problems are 1] If you remove the resovor cap and look inside of it and see metal shavings then the abs pump is bad 2] If the resovor is really low on fluid the the tall canister next to the pump is leaking. Either one of the problems will not effect your braking system. You can remove the abs fuses to disable the sysem and just ignore the light [ put a postit over the light so you dont have to look at it]. It is really expensive to replace either one of these parts.

checke the 2 things mentioned above. and they arent the problem. im thinkin abs sensor on the axle broke or got clogged from snow?

You might need your manual.
Behind your glove box,.. there are two connectors....one for the ecu, and one for the abs system. I'm not sure, but if I had to guess, I would say the abs is the orange connector.
Take a piece of wire , almost any piece will do, and jump the connector.
Your abs dash light will start to blink and you'll have to know the number of times it does,.. and match them with the corresponding codes.
I have two very important abs links on my desktop( on laptop now),.. that I can post when I get home.
By the way,.. this has been covered a gazillion times.

It doesn't have it's own plug, it's the same connector as reading the ECU codes. Blue, with 2 wires. Jumper it with a paper clip, then turn the key on (don't need to start the engine). If you have both ECU & ABS errors, then both lamps will be flashing...

I dont think its the same plug,... I'll have to double check.

I KNOW it's like that on OBD-1 Integra. I was assuming other OBD-1 were the same.

My '95 Integra does have 2 plugs, the 2-wire plug is the one I'm talking about. The 3-wire plug is for some kinda scan tool, before everything was standardized into OBD-2.

ok i read the code. abs light blinked four tiems then paused then 2 more time. i looked that and its the front left speed sensor. question submerges where do i get one now

First check to make sure the wire for that sensor is OK. Dirty/loose plugs anywhere? Cut the wire while wrenching on a caliper or shock??

The sensor's magnetic. It's possible that a pile of metal shavings are stuck to it? Take off the caliper & rotor, you'll see the sensor poking thru & sitting close to a toothed ring on the outer CV joint.

im pretty sure i didnt damage it while doing my alarm, is it possible? cuz thats when the light cam on after my battery died after the alarm install. ill check if there is anything stuck to it.

and it was an abs sensor in one of the wheels wells
its prolly not the problem due to you only your battery dying

Yeah, I've had the battery disconnected several times. That's never caused an ABS error in my car.
