timing belt.....

is it possible to do the timing belt,drive belts, valve adj and waterpump on your own instead of using a dealer??

has anyone done it?? is it hard??

ive gota 96 non vtech ls integra

It's not extremely difficult, but it's not a walk in the park either. If you have a Helms, a couple friends, and are mechanically inclined, you can do the project in a weekend. For me, the hardest part was getting the timing belt lined back up correctly. If you know someone who has done all the work before, see if he/she will lend a hand.

Waterpump and timing belt are the hardest. Valve lash adjustment and drive belts can be done in a few hours at the most. The timing belt takes a professional over 3 hours to do, so it would be a good weekend project if you think you could handle it. Get a Helms and see if it is something you want to tackle.

I can be be done with help from knowledgable people, but if the jobs is done wrong your F'd... Something like the timing belt I rather not chance the margin of error.

I'm changing the timing belt on my 97 civic tomorrow and im gona put together a DIY. Dunno if this helps at all but just thought id let you know.
