you have to pull off the whole door panel, once that is off there are three screws holding the plastic speaker mounting bracket in. You should remove it along with the speaker as it will most likely need to be trimmed as most aftermarket speakers are deeper than the stock speakers.

you do'nt necessarily have to pull the whole door panel off...just the front bottom corner...and i didn't need to trim either *shrugs* gl

And you could put some filters in there while you're at it if you want to.
I had to put bass filters in mine cause they get too much bass from my head unit. Some people like to filter the highs, depending on what you like... Oh yeah. Welcome to the HAN.

WOOH! thanks guys...i HAD to take apart the ENTIRE panel, i tired to just take off the speaker part of it but it's bolted on the other side, i just ended ripping a little bit of panel off...
bleh, but they sound great!, i just hope no one jacks my car! hahaha, cus they are PRETTY EASY TO STEAL! hahaha, alright i'm gonna post some more, late!
