chek engine problem

i have 92 vigor and my check engine light came on, i loose all power when light comes on, engine won,t go more yhen 3000rpm's.i torn car off start back up rans good untill engine light comes back on again. i checked codes - it showed cranck/tdc/cyl sensor. damn $220 . ireplaced and it gave me same problem i checked resistance of ich wire - no problem. reset the code same think light comes back on replaced ECU runs perfect for 2 days then same problem and its happened only when car is hot please any body help thanks

How about the Oxygen sensor ? Has this been going on awhile ? Did it run ok and slowly get worse , as you started to lose power and you would have to shift down to get RPMS up and just to keep it going ? Then it went to no power finally and would be cutting out till you have to stop because it seems as if it was starving for fuel ? If so your Oxygen Sensor is toast and has been telling your motor it needed more fuel till finally it just dies. when you run the car this time and it dies on you get out look under your car best at (nitetime) .If you see a glowing red under car thye Oxy senssor has feed so much more fuel than fuel air to your Cat Converter & that is the glow. The Cat is coming apart from the fuel and is blowing into exhaust pipe jamming it with the fibers from the Cat Converter. Thus robbing the car of power and the longer you go it will blow all into your exhaust pipe to muffler till it wont run at all . If it hasnt damaged it all the way you wont have to replace every thing from cat back out to tail pipe. Just a guess ? Tail pipe where exahust comes out will be extra HOT you wont be able to hold your hand at tail pipe before your hand gets burnt...
