Please Help w/ Rear Upper Strut Bar(in trunk)

I need to know what i need to do to install this strut bar in the trunk. Do i need to lift up the car on jacks? i'm pretty sure i do but if i don't need to i won't so can anyone tell me if they have done this and what i need to do? Thanks.

You don't need, or want to, jack up the car to install a rear strut brace. If you do your suspension will be extended and the shocks could fall through the hole once the nuts holding the shocks are removed. Not a big deal, but a PITA if it does. Just like any suspension work you want to make sure the car is sitting in it's loaded position when you tighten things up.

With that said, just remove the plastic covers over the tops of the shocks in the trunk. Remove the two nuts on each side, 14mm I believe, slide the bar on, and replace the nuts to the proper torque specs(not sure what that is right now).

I'm sure there's more detailed info somewhere on here, but you'll have to do the search.

use a 14mm long b/c those bolts stick out too damn far, and use a razor blade to make nice small slits in the carpet so it doesn't look all hacked up and ghetto
