info on hub centric kit

i got some rims about 3 weeks ago and since i put them on my steering wheel shakes when i get up to 50-70 and i was at les schwab (i didnt get my rims there) last week and the guy there said that i need a hub centric kit. i thought it was a balancing problem but he said to try the hub centric thing first. the hub centric kit goes on the hub before the rim and centers it i guess. thats how he explained it to me anyways. if anyone has any info on this let me know.

Aftermarket wheels are meant to fit a wide variety of vehicles, so the diameter of the part of the wheel that fits the hub of car tends to be larger than the diameter of the hub. So, you can get a set of hubcentric rings. The rings will fill the gap between the wheel and the vehicle hub to make the wheels center on the hub like the stock wheels do. You'll need two measurements: 1) The inner diameter of the center of the wheel (this should be listed on the inside of the wheel) and 2) The diameter of your car's hubs.

I did some Web Searching and found out that all 92-95 Civic Center Bore are 56.1

My are Ray's Gram Lights are 65. So just get a Hub Ring that is 56.1 inner and 65 outter, it'll be o.k.

There are plastic as well as metal hub rings, I got the plastic ones.

They should be available at most Tires & Rims shops, I got mines at "Discount Tires."
