problem

hey.my beater that im drivin right now..an 88 Hyundai Excel broke down on me the other day, in the middle of the road. So now i got it towed home and i couldnt understand y it wouldnt start. As i had someone crank the engine i noticed there was no spark. Den i checked da coil with my test light but the coil had power on both sides. I then changed the Distributor rotar, cap and wires but still no spark and no start. I think the problem is the distributor. May i be misdiagnosing my vehicle?
