Remote Starter!! Eek!

well, right now i am installing it myself cause i am broke (how much is installation anyway?) and it says to connect 2 differnt power wires from the starter to the car 12 v constant wire........and well, i have installed just the 5 or 6 wires that are needed for the remote start, but when i hit the button, it doesn;t do anything......i haven;t installed any of the safety settings, but it should work....right.......also where would my neutral (somehting .......) not sure what its called, but its part of the safety stuff, and number 3....the thing for the brakes.....it is the wire that is connected to the brake pedal? also, the 2 power wires to the constant 12 v wire, both wires just go to the 12 v wire? anythign special on it? any tips on installing?
