Default I think my neighbor is a jackass, but I could be wrong...

He sprayed his dirty ass car down. Did not soap it. Use his hand to go over the whole car while it was wet and then squeegeed the water off and left it to dry. I think the squeegee thing was a horrible thing to do. The car is an 04 Accord too. What do you guys think?

Jackass or not? I say Jackass, what he did does not constitute washing a car IMO.

spraying a car with water then just wiping it is like wet sanding the paint. all the grit and dust just gets ground into the paint.

Has he never heard of car wash soap, a wash mitt or soft bristle car wash brush, and then a chamois to dry?

the only way to clean a dirty car is with car wash detergent and water.
If howvere the car is only dusty, then you can use a little tool called a
California Car Duster. They are pefectly safe, and they work beautifully at removing very light dirt build up.

maybe your the jackass?
The tree outside my house tends to deposit pollen onto my car. I typically wash it off with water and dry the car. No need to wash it since its not dirty.
What if he washed the car the night before? Does that constitute him being a jackass?

+ 1 for the Cali Car Duster. For those sunday cars just sitting in the garage waiting to be driven, takes that dust right off.
