Painting a Front and Rear Lip?
i couldnt find a decent site that shows how to paint lip kits. i would rather do it myself than have it done professionally.
can anyone give me detailed steps on painting a lip?

lots of sanding. you have to hit absolutely every surface that will have paint on it. i'd suggest sanding it all with 400 grit sand paper. wetsand it if it cakes the paper when it's dry. use adhession promoter before the primer. look for a flexible frimer... u can find it @ autozone, advance auto, napa, carquest etc. it isn't needed, but does help. after it's primed, sand the primer as smooth as possible with 800 grit paper. do it dry, not wet. make sure it's as clean as possible before you start any of this. clean it with laquer and enamal cleaner/wax & grease remover. u can also buy a product called plastic prep... which helps reduce static buildup prior to/during the priming/painting processes. when everything is primed, sanded and cleaned again, you're ready for paint. apply in multiple, light (thin) coats until the parts are completely and evenly covered. once they're dry, two coats of clear should be enough. wetsand the clear with 1500, then 2000 grit... buff, and you're done.
does that tell you anything? hehehe, j/k good luck
