Default tar problems

I was wondering on how i could take off the tar on the very bottom of my accord. I've tried washing it off several times even once with dish washing soap (which i know isn't good for the paint). I was able to scrape some off with my finger nail, but it would take forever just to scrape it off with my nails. Does anybody have suggestions or any methods on how to take off the tar?

Stoner's Tarminator works pretty well, you can also try Mineral Spirits, Alcohol / Degreaser Mix, Clay Bar if they are small specs, Poorboy's Bug Squash to name a few.

Be careful using some of those chemicals I mentioned as they can be strong and may require your to follow up with polish and sealant and/or wax.

Hope this helps.

This would help but its a product you would want to follow up with a polish and then re-seal since it has strong solvents in Goo Gone.

Just thought I'd also mention alcohol will take pine sap off. Which of course also can't be good for the paint.

It clouds up the clearcoat which can be fixed with a polish. The paint is pretty well protected from paint thinner, rubbing alcohol, etc. as long as the clear coat is cured.
