any tricks to get a stubborn left axle out of the transmission?
Hi,
I'm 75% in to pulling my engine for a swap and the driver's side axle doesn't want to come out of the transmission.
It popped out about an inch and jammed there.
What can I do to get the driver's side axle out?
Thanks,
ChrisS
PS, if I have to, I'll remove the metal zip tie holding the large end of the axle's inner boot seal, disconnect and plastic bag that end of the axle, pull the motor/transmission, bolt the new motor to the transmission, and repack/replace the metal zip tie on the axle. So I can get this done.

Well, I got it out. (much relief)
How?
-turn
-tap the inner end of axle with metal hammer
-pry
-repeat the cycle a few times
...and it popped free without too much force.
Now, back to doing the swap instead of beating my head against a wall. (too much fun.)
take care,
ChrisS
