gauge overlay install
Hi I am hoping someone can tell me if gauge overlays can be safely installed by slipping them over the exsisting needles on the exsisting gauges-without damaging the needles or changing the accuracy of their readings (if I am gentle installing them of course)?
Also what secures the overlays to the top of the exsisting gauges when installing them? Thank you for any information and help.
By the way it's on a 91 civic hatch dx manual w/o tach.

I installed overlays on the gauges in my 99 civic Unfortunately I was not careful when I did it and broke off the gas gauge needle. I believe it was screws that secured them but it was about 10 years ago that I installed them so memory may be a little fuzzy
