Hey I've been wondering something. On the TLs front bumper. The plastic strip under the front bumper. What was the purpose for Acura installing this because depending where the wife or I park or certain speed bumps I scrape that strip.

I think it protects the car from the rocks etc... and I use it on my TL to help me park without damaging the bumper lol.
There is a carbon fiber part under the RL that cost $5k and the plastic strip help protect it.

it's for aerodynamics. It cuts the drag down on the car.

Well, I am really surprised that you did not know the answer for that. Anyway, for your information, it is used to prevent cars from hitting against the rocks and such similar obstacles with B2B Media . I think the best use for it is to ensure that we park the car inside a parking lot or any parking facility without compromising the bumper by damaging it! A carbon fiber would be your best bet in this particular matter! IMAO!

Yes I was wondering about the plastic strip under the bumper of the TLs and realized that it must be a protection for the bumper – and if it is to protect the carbon fiber part which is so expensive, thank heavens they came up with the brilliant idea of the plastic strip!!
