today our Acura 3.2TL (2000 model) got the code P01456 (or P1456).
A quick google search found that is most likely the 'EVAP Emission Control System Leak Detected (Fuel Tank System).' and the cause is a loose gas cap.
Checked the gas cap and found it slightly loose. reset the code to see if it would happen again.
However, now we are getting a flashing "maintenance required" light?
how do you clear that?
btw... it's not time for scheduled maintenace yet.

Does the flashing stop and stay lit? Look in your owner's manual, it will tell you how to reset it.

But it didn't do this before I got the P1456 code and that ended up just being a loose gascap.
It's not time for the scheduled maintenance also. still have about 2,000 miles.

Did you read the owner's manual? Even though your vehicle is not due for maintenance, it has an internal clock depending when it was reset last and start flashing when it reaches every 7500 miles. It will stay lit eventually and you can check the manual on how to reset it.
