buying 01 CL S NEED HELP??????
Thinking about buying the 01 CL type S.
135K MILES
NO MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN DONE.
I checked a dealer and a pvt shop and price was 850-1000 US DOLLARS.
I was shocked but it seems that 100k maint intervals isnt all that bad.
What should I pay for the car?
NADA SAYS 5300-7300.
Can I get real service like this anywhere for $500 range?
I dont know much about these cars.
It does seem that the need for maint is a bargaining tool.
Im a maintenance kind of guy and believe in it.
I will have it done immediately following the purchase.
Can anyone tell me about the plug service and other maint that is required as various intervals?
I need to know what you guys think.

Time for timing belt/water pump. Plugs, all filters, oil etc etc.
If it's 5 speed AT, (don't think they had 6 speed MT till '03 though anyways) check VIN with Acura even though you're over the extra extra extended warranty on tranny. Maybe they'll have mercy. Very least replace AT fluid immediately.
