Scammed out of $275: David Oliver - Sacramento CA
sent David Oliver $275 via pay pal for a fiberglass subwoofer enclosure... after he recieved my payment his email responses were a lot slower, and then it got to the point were i was recieving no emails...
his phone number is #916-285-8790... i called that number and a woman (her name is Amy Ryan) picked up, and everytime i asked if David was there she said no, and i asked if he had a cell phone number, and she said no.. kinda hard to believe, i dont know one person that doesn't have a cell phone, especially an adult... i kept leaving her my number to return the call... and one time i called i think that they didnt know i was on the line i could hear a man in the background talking to this woman, and i heard that the guy was on probation for theft ...
his ebay name is fiberglass_concepts ... his web site USED to be http://www.fiberglassconcepts.com but now it goes to some yahoo page .. he is out of californina.. i contacted pay pal and they cannot recover the funds because they are not available.. what should i do besides going to the police? thanks

nah if the money aint in there account then paypal cant do a thing. I suggest you contact the police dept in his area.

yup, already filed a complaint thru pay pal, the guy already took the money out of the account before pay pal could get it back.. its tough to file it through police because it is considered bad business, and there isn't much they can do.. and its not over $500 so its just a misdemeanor...

Did you pay through PayPal using a credit card? If so, you could dispute the charge with your credit card company. Something similar happened to me, where PayPal couldn't get the money, but I had my CC company take it from PayPal.

i filed a complaint yesterday through the Sacramento PD.. so we'll see how that goes, this guy is already on probation for theift, so hopefully i'll get my money back and he goes to jail...
