    Scammer Alert: Dstein

Dstein is a scammer. He scammed me out of $1600 with his friends "Arjun Dhillon" and Jarred Thomes...I believe this "david stein" is actually arjun dhillon of supposedly "Arjunsii Automotive." Do not...I repeat..Do NOT sell or buy from this guy. I believe they are located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, but won't find out for sure until my cousin subpoenaes their records and address from paypal.

    they use the following e-mails:

    davidstein00@yahoo.com
    arjunsiiautomotive@hotmail.com

yep. was buying a motor swap. I KNOW YOU READ THE CLASSIFIEDS! GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY!!!

Well, if I don't get my money, this guy is going to be in a load of trouble because not only is my cousin a lawyer who has the power to subpoena all records including his address from Paypal, but I also contacted the NASTC (association of small trucking companies) who he supposedly used and fraudently infringed their copyrighted logo on their fake invoice, as well as an address of another shipping company whos owner also contacted me via phone. I'm hopefully going to get this guy into a civil lawsuit and getting my money back, and push these guys to do some federal damage on the copyright infringment.

    llxzxll: Your an idiot.

This guy made a payment and then contacted paypal less than a week later complaining that he hasnt gotten the engine yet, so there was a hold placed on the money and now nothing can be done until it is investigated. If you came to me first i would have just refunded your payment, now you will get it refunded but its going to be whenever paypal feels like taking the hold off the money.

And Vang: I told you repeatedly that I was not going to drive anywhere with the engine, you wanted me to meet you half way and I said no. I told you if you wanted to come pick it up that would be great and I never got a response. Also of course I wanted the money when you came and got it... what did you want me to do hand you the engine with no records of the exchange and hope you send me a check later?

As soon as the money is taken off of a hold you will be refunded. Next time why dont you just contact the seller when you are concerned and things will go a lot easier. If I was a dick I would just keep your money and wouldnt have cancelled the freight shipping. Ask your lawyer cousins about how legally binding even a casual deal made through the internet is. Also ask him what is a legally reasonably time period to wait before shipment. Three days to wait for your e-check to clear *LIKE PAYPAL RECCOMENDS* is not unreasonable.

If anyone is concerned with my legitimacy please contact me and as soon as the paypal hold is off I will forward the email verifying that a refund has been sent. I would suggest to anyone selling anything here that you gauge the maturity of the buyer so you dont end up getting dicked around like this.

Also: Anyone has the power to subpeona records, but like I said you will be refunded and I dont think any judge would give you my address so you can have your buddies from a car forum come to my house to "pay me a visit". But hey, i dont mind either way, I told everyone that they are welcome to email me if they would like to know when Paul gets his money refunded, and any trespassers looking to 'pay me a visit' on my property will be met with the bad end of a twelve gauge shotgun.

I am an idiot? No...I'm a concerned member of this forum. Look. You cannot deny that you repeatedly fed me lies. First you tell me once the money clears, the order will be shipped, then you tell me the invoice and all legitimate paperwork will be faxed to me at my fax number (given 3 times in total) on the following monday, then on the following tuesday. Then AFTER the fact I retracted the bidding, your "friend" sends me an invoice with a NASTC logo attached to some shipping company. The problem? You wanted me to retract the dispute immediately. Why? Maybe you wanted me to retract it so that you could safely take out all the money in the account before things got serious and because of the fact that once i cancel a dispute, i would not be able to file a dispute again (either way saves your ass). When I filed the dispute you couldn't even provide a real shipping company, but again used the "nastc shipping services" once again without a tracking number. Now comes the good part...the NASTC not only tells me that they never even HEARD of this company that was supposedly part of their association since 1997 according to their records, but the addresses supplied do not even belong to any company close to that name. Mr. Getzman can atest to that. He called me up and told me he owned that addressed and owns a legitimate shipping company. Now you want to resort to name calling? That's fine. But let me tell you this. Not "anyone" can subpoena records. There is a legal procedure that must be upheld in order to obtain them. good night.

You told me you wanted to meet half way and then you said it was too far. I told you I would pick it up in chicago if I had to and I contacted you numerous time about when I could pick it up with no response. Reason why I never bought the motor also was because there was another guy who told me to hold off because he never recieved a motor(b16) from you either. I dont know if he received it or not by now but I never heard from him again. Hope you two work something out. c ya!

You'd better be careful who you threaten. Obviously you must be doing something illlegit to warrant death threats.

lol. Alright man, Im not going to continue this. You will get your refund, and I called you an idiot because now you must wait the 14-28 days before paypal does an investigation, where I would have refunded it to you days ago had you just contacted me first.

Reverend: Read the thread. I was threatened first, I just wanted to make it clear that no one is going to come to my house to "pay me a visit" just because another forum member wanted to go the hard way about getting a refund!

Also: Yes there is a procedure to acquire records, but you dont have to have gone through law school or be on the state bar to do so. Why are we arguing about this anyway? And any disputes you have with the shipping company then you can take it up with them, I care not if they arent really a associate of nastc. Its none of my business, I just hired them to ship an engine. Though if you do find out that they are doing anything fradulent or illegal please let me know and I wont use them to ship again.

You will get a refund as soon as paypal takes a hold off of the funds. I will contact them and tell them to just refund you entirely without going through the investigation process, but I dont know if that will work. I am sorry about this, but im also angry that you made this so difficult.

paypal has already told me that people whose accounts are currently suspended are STILL able to use the REFUND function. Of course this is logical since you should always have the ability to return what's owed. So you don't have to make it more difficult by assuming that you won't be able to return the funds.

Thats incorrect. I can add my own funds to refund your money, but the money that you sent has been placed on a hold. When I contacted paypal I was advised to wait until the money isnt on hold any longer to take any action. Im going to listen to them over you buddy, and if you are impatient then again let me emphasise that this all could have been avoided had you just emailed me and asked for a refund.

    UPDATE!!!!

This is to confirm that i was unable to retrieve a single DIME from this character's paypal account. I have informed him of the findings and will see what he has to say. Obviously, BE AWARE of this seller for the moment. To me, he seems like another low-life scammer ready to steal from trusting, unsuspecting people.

im not agreeing with anyone on this topic since i have not a clue as to what happened. its all "he said, she said" when it comes down to it, if he did scam your money, then you have every right to be mad and every right to file legal action. if he was a "true" scammer then he would take the money and you would never find him on the boards again. period. he told you the money would be refunded, so give it a few days. however, i DO NOT agree with the whole idea of "paying someone a visit" you investigate first, if you find that he did end up scamming you, you file legal action. he has every right to pull a gun if someone DOES come onto HIS property. everyone does. there is no question about it. ITS CALLED SELF-DEFENSE! on that part of the argument i agree with dstein. you cant threaten someone like that and expect the other person to do nothing back. you dug your own grave there. good luck everyone and keep it clean.

i never said i would personally go visit him. as for the "he said, she said" i have already contacted him through e-mail and AIM, and he has yet to respond. i told him to get back to me within 48 hours before I would start the legal process. but i will not stand to idly sit here as he continues to attempt fraudulent acts. if you or anyone wants to see proof of his work, i will gladly forward you copies of the fake invoice he sent me as well as another guy off superhonda.com that also got scammed. he also uses the same story for every person he sells from, which i can atest to since i have received a couple PM's regarding this.

i have been informed that i will be receiving a refund, but not through paypal. if this gets settled, i will retract most all negative connotations sent towards seller dstein in all threads, even though i am still losing money on "shipping."

i dont know how far paypal has gone through the investigation with you two but wouldnt it be a good idea to just let paypal do the investigation and get the funds to you? I'm just saying this because back when paypal first started the investigations back in the day they wouldnt let you retract an investigation until funds were actually given back. If he sends you funds via other source, paypal could still be in the process of trying to give your funds back to you and if it does then you'll have his other source of refund plus the paypal refund when the investigation is over. Unless now they have changed it and will let you retract the investigations. Just a thought that I remembered back when paypal first started out. I'd check with paypal first before getting another source of refund. Dont wanna end up with two scammers....

as stated before, paypal concluded their investigation and ruled in my favor, but there were no funds to retract, therefore 0 dollars for me. i'm in contact with a representative over there and supposedly we're working something out with dstein here, but we'll see how long it takes to reach a firm conclusion. if not, like i said before, things will not sit still.
