No Civic Type-R
Sadly, The 2003 Si Factory Performance Package got the fricken 17" Type-R wheels. Don't hold your breath for the CTR, folks, not this generation.

why? they started offering the RSX-R suspension, wheels, and body kit for the RSX-S. Although it is expensive at $5,000 for the package plus labor, I don't think Honda would bring the 'R' to America. To justify the package for the 'S', the 'R' would have to be almost $8,000 more than the 'S'. So then why not drop the package?...I guess we'll just have to wait and see on that.

Why? Because the wheels/tires are the major complaint on the Si. I figured they held back to leave room for a Type-R. Now if you can get them for under 3 grand, a Type-R option is kind of stupid.
The RSX-S FP consists of aftermarket wheels, a kit, a type-r spoiler, and some suspension mods i think...certainly not a type-r. I can think of many reasons a person would buy the RSX-S FP over the G4 ITR, many due to luxury considerations and looks (personal taste).

Yeah, we've gone over this many times
Anyways, chances of seeing a RSX Type R are much better than those of seeing a Civic Type R. That's the most anyone can say at this time. I hope to see both

It seems as if 17" wheels and tires should have been standard issue on the Si, not the wimpy 15" Insight tires. For Chrissake Honda, 195/60R-15 on your Si model?
At LEAST give us 205/55VR-16's.
