a buddy of mine is sellin his 2 12" subs (400w each) for $300cdn .. the subs r by orion, n im thinkin about buyin them off from him, jus wanted to know if it was a good deal.. the subs r like a yr old btw, but for the most part had them sittin in his house .. n is there anythin i should look for before buyin them

ps - he's told me there competition subs n i dunno which model they r

I doubt they r comp. subs.. What kind of amp do u have, or what kind r u planning on getting. Because you will want a good amp to get the sound u want out of them
