Default 97 Civic DX timing belt

Do I have to take my valve cover off before I remove the upper timing belt cover?

the upper part of the timing belt cover tucks in and under the valve cover, so yes it would make it easier.

Thanks! Another questions, How can I get those 5 bolts on the cover out? I think I've already lossen them completely but they wouldn't come out.

im not sure if ur talking about the valve cover or the timing belt cover, but either way theres no trick, just unscrew and pull it out.
