What subs should I get????

I have an MTX 421D, rated at 301watts. What 10inch subs would you guys recommend? Right now I have a bs AUDIOBAHN connected to it, but it just doesn't sound "TIGHT" enough for me, especially when listenning to my reggae music. Please advise..... Thanks

How much space are you willing to give up, whats the budget and does the amp make power at 2 ohms or somethign else? Id say the image dynamics idq 10 is always a good choice.

The amp can go down to 2 ohms. I really don't want to use up that much space in my trunk, since I am always go the go, (military) and have to carry my gear in it. I paid about $180 for the amp so I am willing to spend that much or a little more on a good sub, or two if possible

how about a 12" IDQ in a sealed box. they dont require much room, and IDQ rocks.

these people are nuts, those subs mentioned above are all way to big for this amp.

get a pair of JL audio 10w04 (get the 4 ohm version) wire 'em down to 2 ohms. they handle roughly 150 watts peak. they have a 1.38" voice coil. they aren't going to pound like the IDQs (but they aren't as expensive, and you really need big power for the IDs). But the JL 10's would be perfect for that amp. 10w04 is the way to go.

I have a 10" Alpine Type R and love it. It is in a small sealed box (0.66^3 after speaker displacement) and sounds very nice (both tight and loud) IMHO. It is powered by a RF 250a2 amp.

If its 301 RMS i say u go on ebay and get urself like 2 12" alpine type R. They're about 170 for 2 YOu can power one now and upgrade your amp later and power 2 of them. 1 sub will not pound your car but it will add a nice clean lil thump to your car. or you can just get the older model of jl audio such as W3 or W6 i dont like the W0 that much
