Bulbs + Fire!!!
I recently had a fire under the hood of my car ...I have had my 95 accord for quite some time now (3 yrs) and I've gone through bulbs about every 6 months or so. These bulbs were 80 watt and stock was 50 watt. I didn't think anything of it until I recently had a fire start from behind one headlight and it caused 2 grand worth of damage so I have no intention of going back to those bulbs. These bulbs were nokya hyper whites. Anyways...
My question is this...what do you guys think out there...
Are stock bulbs cool or dull?
Are hyper white bulbs such as the Nokya cool or too ricy and lame like a fast and furious wanna be?
I always preferred the hyperwhite just because the stock seemed a little too dull...but at this point...after having to put out a fire that almost consumed everything under my hood...I have no intention of spending $50+ dollars every 6 months on bulbs that will case fires and things of that sort...

gosh damn ... just get HIDS ... they run cooler than stock and are better than any kind of bulb out there.
if you really want brighter lights, go with a 9005 silverstar conversion.
the composite and construction of "hyperwhites" are extremely poor. i can only guess that they are NOT dot approved and made by the 1,000,000 in China.

With all that money you spent, you could have gotten a HID conversion kit that runs at 35W only and much brighter. Save yourself the repair bill, fire, and trouble and do that already. 2k of repair bill?! That's 4 pairs or more HID conversion kit for you there.

Whatever you do, stick to a normal wattage, or even less with HID's
