Default Question bout exhaust

Ok I think im gonna get a 5zigen axleback for $499 shipped from groupbuy site. Now this is for my 6th gen coupe v6, and I was wondering, when I get this axle back, if I wanna do a full exhaust, I think have to take my car and get like 2.25 mandarel bend piping for the rest right? WHen I go to the shop, what the hell do I say to them? "Yo hook it up with 2.25 custom piping on my car!" Being sarcastic there, but really....

I think the 5zigen is a good choice. But I personally think they look small on the 6 gen if there is only single muffler. And I think you should do a dual system. But that shouldent be hard since you already have the V6. But Its a good choice. I have a Tanabe RM rear section only and I love it. Very nice sounding, not too loud at all. When you go to the shop. Just show them your car and tell them you want to do a Full-cat back pipeing system. Say you want 2.25 or w/e size you want. Also make sure to tell them if you want your resentor or not. Then tell them to weld the pipeing to your exhaust . I had to weld the rear-section exhaust to my pipeing because it wouldent fit my stock. I dident want to do a custom bended pipeing because I was told the exhaust was very loud. So I wanted to make sure it wasent to loud. But I will go back and get custom pipeing soon. Also, Keep all your stock shit, people will try to keep it. You may want to put your stock one back on if you sell it.

Can you just Get 2 Good Mufflers (HKS, APex'I, Greddy, etc) and Do a Custome 2.5" Mendrel piping for Dual Back, you can get that all done for a better look + sound for less than the price you would pay for the axle back alone?

My friend bought a set of Bombz EVO Mufflers on Ebay and get them hook on, they sound great, much loud with the Catalytic Converter Removed

^^ I hope not... You need 2.5, just tell them to go from the cat. to where the axle back starts with the piping...

Yes... Definitely. With any aftermarket set up that is 4 or 6 cyl. and N/A you should always get 2.5 inch piping.

2.25-2.5 is for car < 275HP
2.5+ is for > 275HP

why? Give you enough flow + increase in HP without loss in torques.

THanks for the help folks. Im gonna order my 5zigen axle back when I get paid, then gonna get custom piping. Does any muffler shop do custom mandrel bend piping, like midas?
Oh and also, you said to make sure to tell them if I want my resonator or not, well I dont wanna be too loud, so I should tell them to keep it ok, right? The resonator does supress sound like with the intake?

i've had 3" piping on my accord dont do it theres so much torque lose in the lower RPMs its not even funny. i would feel like my car wasnt moving till i got half way thru 1st gear. i switched to smaller piping and its a huge difference. it doesnt sound the same as b4 but then again i went from straight piping to a rear section so who knows
