Default Update on the Accord

Well, I thought it would be totalled, but oh no. The total estimate for the repairs totaled $4,358.68 And they are going to fix it! I bought the car two years ago for $4500, and it noe has 175k+ miles on it. I don't know what the insurance company thinks it is worth, but it must be pretty high. They say it is going to take about 3 weeks to fix, but thats fine because I got the free rental, a 2k3 Cavalier, woo hoo. The insurance company refused to pay for a color change, I would have to pay the whole cost of paint and the labor involved, I don't have an extra $800 for that. And, they won't shave the emblems, and I really don't want the old faded gold ones that are on it. Anyone got some silver ones they want to sell? Oh well. Another good thing is that all body panels except the unibody rear quarters and roof are going to be replaced (by Honda genuine parts ) and the whole car will be prepped and repainted. Hopefully it will be done in time for the Nashville meet in May. I'll put up pics as soon as it is done.
