Default 6th gen resonator

Hey guys does anyone know of a DIY site that shows how to take the intake resonator off? Just curious cause I might do it when my injen intake comes in.

take off your front bumper and it's a HUGE black box under the driver's side headlight. it's held on by 2 LONG screws. if you're getting an injen CAI, you need to take it off. if you're getting a short ram, definately leave it on. you'll bog your engine with hot air without it.

Wow im gettin a shortram due to the fact I live in FL and it rains a ton here. So I should leave my resonator on? Ok, just less work I gotta do I guess.

1) Take front bumper off
2) undo the bolt holding the big black box to the intake
3) turn the left front wheel all the way to the left and expose the fender lining and you'll see a bolt in the back...undo that and it works right off.

definately leave your res on. i've personally tested out the effects of having it installed and removed, and trust me, leave it on. i then made a ram air system which works the best.

with the res on, i got a pretty sweet sound coming from the intake.

without the res, the sound was completely gone, and at red lights, my engine would sound horrible.

with the dryer hose, my intake roars.

i think it works REALLY good. i tested it with a fan turned up on high, and i got a decent breeze flowing through. i can only imagine the amount of air in there at 60 mph.

i'm up by woodfield mall, kinda.

this maybe hell off topic, but you wouldn't be interested in a sedan spoiler, would you? i'm looking for a local buyer. i got the spoiler for $70, and i'm just looking to get what i paid for it. the spoiler is OEM style, never used, never installed, LEDs onboard, primed and ready to paint.
