DIY foglights?
Has anyone tried the diy fog lights where you drill an extra hole and put another bulb in the bumper lenses (trun signal) of the 5th gens? If you have could you post some pics?? How well do they work?

those arent fog lights.... but to answer the question.... if someone were to install an actual fog light type socket in the bumper lenses, the light output wouldnt be too great... the light would not be aimed correctly and would not function as a foglight.... youd have to rig up some way of focusing the light.

looks better when u wire the bumper light to stay on with ur parking lights AND blink with ur blinkers. its hard to see the corner light blink, esp during the day. i melted 2 sets of clears, and just undid the wiring

Plus, fog light bulbs would melt the blinker light housings...
But yes, you can wire the bumper lights to stay on, then blink w/ your blinker. You just have to change some wiring and use a dual filament bulb. I'm not sure how to do it though.
