Lx Vs. Ex
I am thinking about getting an accord and I am curious what the main differences are between these 2 models?? Also, is there any year or model that I should stay away from that might have major problems?? Thanks in advance

I dunno about other years, but i have a 2003.
The differences are:
Canadian Versions
EX
- Leather seats and power moonroof
- Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel
- 16" aluminum rims (LX has 15" and covers)
- EX 4 disc brakes, LX has rear drums
- 6 disk CD changer in the Head Unit
- Dual zone climate control
- Driver's Seat Adjustable Lumbar Support
- Driver's Seat with 8-Way Power Adjustment
- Power Driver's Seat Height Adjustment (LX Manual)
- All window switches are Illuminated (LX Driver only)
- Illuminated Door Lock and Mirror Switches
- Outside Temperature Gauge
- Steering Wheel Mounted Audio Controls (one of My favorite options)
- All models have ABS, EX also has EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution)
- EX in Canada, has the brushed aluminum on the Center Console and the doors, as well as the storage area.
I think thats it...
Add $3000 +
I think its worth it...
LX is $25 800 (Can) EX - i paid 29 100 (Can)
hope this helps

Well Personally I would get a 96,97 accord ex. It has the vtec motor, rear disc brakes, and rear anti sway bar. If your looking for an automatic stay away from the 6th gens those trannies have many problems, but the 5spd in those years are nice. The 5th gen weighs less and well in my biased opinion looks much better too.

actually 4th and 5th gen especially have sucky autos too. that's why there are so many auto-manual swap posts.
5th gen are nice cause they are the last accord to also be the same design in japan. 5th gens also have better aftermarket support and are easier to do a h22 swap into.

True, I haven't seen to many 6th gens with an H22. I usually hear how the check engine light is going off. Hopfully in a couple of years it will be easier to do...when I can afford it.

honestly if you got low miles, it's more cost effective to go turbo on the F23. i'll talk to you at the meet about it and where to get it done.

Thanks, lots of good info. Whatever I get I plan on decking it out so I would probably want a manual if I can find one anyway.

Well My tranny lasted me till 120k then I broke it thinking powerbraking was agood thing. So now im on my second one its allready slipping lol. Stupid used tranny. Thats what happens when you cant afford to get a 5spd put in and have to borrow money from the parents who dont think you can swap a 5spd in. Oh well.
