Default Front Speakers not working ....OEM Setup

I just purchased a 1999 honda accord coupe and have noticed that only the rear speakers are working. Its a factory radio so I found it kind of odd. Is there anything I should check?

Have you check the front rear balance setting on the radio?

Next step is to see if the wiring clip is connected, which you should be able to do without taking the door pannel off. Just pull the cover off, unscrew the speakers, pull them out and see if their connected. Perhaps the previous owner just blew them and disconnected them rather than replacing them

I switched out the deck and they work so not sure what the problem was..... front speakers are partially busted though when i turn it up loud they make a cracklin/popping like sound.

Well they obviously are going to be replaced I assume, but the crackling is a fried voice coil. Get rid of em and get something good. Good luck with it, crappy speakers really take away from the enjoyment of a good drive.
