Default Replacing TPS on 98 accord

Hi guys my accord seems to stall sometimes when at a complete stop. It only occurs one out of ten times....the rpm dropes to 600 and the car starts shaking...could that be the TPS sensor if yes i would like to replace it and i was wondering if it was something that i could do myself....is there any sort of adjustment to the sensonr????

Normally easy, but I'm not sure that's the problem. I4/V6, AT/MT?

ballpark, i would say yes, something similar happened to my accord v6, although it's a 00.
500 bucks to replace, but the part is only 120 I think, I was just super lazy.
it's fairly easy to access in the V6 though.

I have not played with an Accords TPS, if it's anything like a Civic's, it's probably on the TB. It will also most probably require an adjustment. Before you take the TPS off, take a reading with a multi meter on what voltage it sees with the TB completely closed. Write that down. Take a reading with the TB wide open, and write that down. When you swap the TPS, realign it so it sees those settings. That is how you do it on a Civic, probably the same on the Accord.

For Civic's the readings are .5 volts with the TB closed, and 5.0 volts with the TB wide open.
