Default Heater Core Replacement

After doing a search on the forums and not finding what I'm looking for, I'll just straight up ask ya'll experts.

98 Accord ex-V6 sedan

What will I really be into as far as replacing the Heater Core myself? I'm average to above averagely mechanically inclined (I work on my two motorcycles regularly), and I have a Chilton (or Haynes?) manual. Is it a true PITA as I've heard? I stand to save about $600 doing it myself- but will I regret it? Please talk me into or out of doing it.

Thanks,
John

I put one in my 94 a few months ago and It's really not that hard as it is time consuming. You have to remove the dash, lower the column, disable and remove the airbags, take the heater hoses off and remove the dash support cross-member. Those are the real big tasks. Keep track of wiring harnesses, bolts and screws (there are alot) and have fun, really, It's cool to see whats under the dash and put it back together. Don't pay a shop 5 or 6 hours of labor @ $60-$80 an hour, you got it.
