Default brake cleaning?

hey guys

How much usually cost for a brake cleaning job. Today I took off my wheels and there was some metal rust on the rotors.

Should i clean this myself..if so what fluid should i be buying

It's pretty normal for the rotors to rust, especially after rain or carwashing. It rubs off the first couple times you use the brakes.

If there's excessive dust then maybe the brakes are dragging? If so, the brake & wheel would get very hot after driving.

Yeah, don't worry about a little rust on your rotors. If you have excessive dust you can use brake cleaner from any auto parts store to briefly spray down the rotors, pads and/or calipers. But if all you have is a little rust I wouldn't bother.

Rust could also indicate of a brake problem if the rust does not disappear after you drive it.

Is it on the rear or front? Also, which car is it?
