Default problems with my 87

recently my clutch pedal went clear to the floor and the clutch wouldn't engage. The cable is fine, and when I tightened up the cable, the clutch worked fine for about 6 or 8 pushes, then went right back to the loose pedal and no clutch. would this be a fork issue, or does the pressure plate need replaced?

im not familiar with the clutch system in your generation. is it hydrolic? does it have a resevior for clutch fluid? ie brake fluid to put in there. u may have a leak in the resevior.. if u dont have these things then ignore my advice.. u can try www.3geez.com its for your gen 3 accord..

i'd say probably a new clutch cable. I'm sure that when its tightend it works because its more or less stripped the threads and just holding on to whats left and naturally since there isn't a lot it can't hold on and slips out.
