Default 99 accord big 3 (electrical)

hey guys, i have a question.

i'm in the middle of the big 3 upgrade with 1/0 welding cable

as you guys know the big 3 consists of these wiring upgrades

alternator to battery positive
battery negative to ground
engine block ground to chassis

i've completed the first 2, but i can't find the location of the engine block ground.

alt to battey positive

battery neg to ground

engine bay shots...

can you point out to me where the engine block ground is?

has anyone done this yet? or is anyone familiar with my generation accord?

thanks

On my 98 4-cyl the factory ground was a short cable at the engine mount in the middle of the timing cover.

thanks tedmond, i have just 2 more questions

what is that bold holding? when i take the bolt out am i going to have to hold anything in place? i'd rather not have anything happen unexpectedly when i try and slip the ring terminal on there :ugh: :x:

and as for grounding this, i'm thinking about bringing it up to the red circle in the bottom picture

i know i have to watch for the hot tubes + header area. i have my battery grounded on that same area just on the other side. i think it's a pretty good spot, would you say so? or is there another spot you would say is better? is that screw parallel to the circle before the alternator alright? what would you recommend?

thank you

the thin wire on the right of the bar holding the hood up? right next to the dipstick circle that is being cut in half by the bar...

i saw that, it will just be very hard to bend 1/0 to use those factory points

Yeah, I wasn't saying you had to use those points for the fat wire; just saying that's the only wire I remember from my '98.

The bolt holding the lifting lug would be a good one. I think that's all it does is hold the lifting lug onto the engine.
