    Number 1 :nono:

What's the number one thing that ruins an otherwise sweet car? For me it's highly polished chrome rims that look like they came from wal-mart. Can't stand em.

Grr, if that's bashing mine.... That's okay. I'm here to hear everybody's personal opinions about cars in general. Even if I have everyone's worst nightmare, don't bust on my ride, just bust on rides in gen. And Sleeper, I'm not directing this at you in the least bit, it was just an afterthought.

Can't think of just 1 thing. Yellow accessories, obligatory rice spice, banner, chrome air fresheners, shoulder pad and wheel cover, Big wing. A couple of those are a few of them.

many things on their own can ruin an otherwise decent ride...

    purple tint
    APC window banner
extreme drop w/ really bad camber on stock wheels and cut springs
    loud fart cans

several of the above on the same car makes me lol.

Purple tint=yuck. Especially if it's wrinkling, etc. But even if it's in good condition, it can't come close to black.

They both make me laugh so hard. If I had to rate them, the Neon is worse than the Cavalier, mainly because it's too "cute"?

I know I'll offend alot of people here, but I don't like pretty much any aftermarket, non OEM exterior accessory, and let me explain why. For my taste, I like the way a car looks or don't like the way it looks from the factory. Gaudy accessories add weight, hinder aerodynamics, and really can't match PERFECTLY with the car's color (unless you paint the whole thing). I say show me a sleeper. I have much more respect for someone in a car that looks completely stock, then blows you out of the water. That five grand you have in gargantuan spoilers, ground effects, colored wiper arms, illuminated washer jets, indiglow instruments, and whatever else can be used to make the engine into a brilliant performer, and no one will know but you. Not to mention, I really don't care to add to the attraction to theives by making my car scream "hey, look at me!!"

    Just my $.02.

    large apc graphics

    trunk mounted cheese graters

    hood lights

when your neon light budget is bigger than your motor budget and then causes it to rival most downtown clubs lighting.

    altezzas on everything with wheels

cars w/ assloads of stickers that have maybe 1/4 of the stuff actually in the car that it's stickered for.

    overkill/gay graphics

stock or unevenly matched car's revving on somthin they have no shot in hell of killing or even giving a good run

misbadged cars.. gt-r mustangs, nismo civics, mazdaspeed celicas

cars w/ those gay ass glowing muffler tips

Don't Bag On Neons Though, My Buddy Did Absolutely Nothin To The Exterior Of His Black & Silver R/T, We Made His So Rediculously Fast That It Got Stolen 3 Times LOL, After The Third Time We Gave Up Rebuilding It. Sucks When Your So Fast That The Competitors Steal Your Car.

    nonfunctional wings

    scraped up/chewd up/chipped body kits

    2tone paint jobs

slammed cars with the rearend bouncing like crazy

Rims that are clearly worth more than the car they're on

small like 12" rims with wide, low-profile tires that stick way out(u know what I'm talkin 'bout)

but yo, do whatever floats ya boat/rocks ya world

I feel the same as you do. I didn't buy my car so that I could totally change it. I bought it cause I liked the way it looked and I will like the way it looks in a few years. The only major mod i've done to my car as far as looks are aftermarket wheels. I have a OEM Body kit and shocks and springs. Thats only mods I have done/care to do with my car. I'm the type of guy that likes stock cars as well because I just like a clean look. I'm not feeling the altezza's, big wings, big body kits (black widow), and so on.
