Cabin Air filter for 1996 accord?
Could anyone tell me or point me in the right direction on how to find the cabin air filter. I can tell the seal is shot because each time there in heavy rain I can smell wet "nastyness" when I turn the air on. Thanks for any help you can give.

i dont think those have a cabin filter, but u can get rid of that smell.
*roll down all the windows (during day time, and when its warm)
*turn on ur car
*turn on the a/c w/ fan all the way up
*select the option for fresh air. (green light when its fresh air, orange light when its recirculating)
*let it run for about an hour or two and that will get rid of the bad smell.

I was surprised that my mom's '97 didn't have a cabin filter, no smell issues though.
With the hood up, try looking into the vent on the outside of the car where it draws in air, on that car it would be on the driver's side I believe.
Good chance of leaves, etc. getting in there which can cause odors when damp. Possible that some have made their way down into the fan enclosure in/under the dash as well if you don't see anything outside.

That smell is caused by mildew/mold in the heating lines.
Turn your fan on high and spray any sort of anti-bacterial spray (such as lysol) into the HVAC air intake vent between the hood and windshield.
