Default Installing an aftermarket head unit in a 2003+ Accord?

I'm just wondering how this works since they're not setup with your usual pull out factory junk head unit. Do you mount it in the storage area under the stocker & a/c controls?

There are 2 kits available. One is about $30 and one is $150 and both are special order at most places.

Here's the $30 one: http://scosche.com/scosche_caraudio....B&CategoryID=5
This would go in the storage pocket below the exsisting radio, kind of a junky kit.

Here's the nice one, about $180: http://www.autotoys.com/x/catalog/HO...KIT_p_164.html

Keep in mind, that $180.00 kit totalimmortal linked for you is for DX and cloth EX trim Accords only. EX/w leather and all V6 Accords have dual zone climate control which integrates climate control with the radio and CD changer functions on one large LCD display. It is all one control unit. You would have to locate your head unit in the pocket or other location if you have one of those trim levels.

Check out this link. This clown did it with an aftermarket unit. Is the stock system that bad on the 7th gen?

He must have one of the low end trim levels, as the photo of the stock head unit showed standard air conditioning, and no dual zone climate control.
